THE CLINIC
Occupational therapy is the use of assessment and treatment to develop, recover, or maintain the daily living and work skills of people with physical, mental, or cognitive disorder. Occupational therapists also focus on identifying and eliminating environmental barriers to independence and participation in daily activities.

The Rainbow Project/Healing Art
The Rainbow project is a comprehensive rehabilitation program that utilizes a variety of methods to merge occupational therapy and art to enhance the health and well-being of individuals affected by cerebral palsy, including children.
One of the initiatives under the Rainbow project is the Healing Art program, which provides creative art lessons, including painting and drawing, to children with cerebral palsy. Due to the children’s complex conditions, most do not possess fine and gross motor skills, thus requiring frequent occupational therapy. With the assistance of caregivers, the children can actively engage in the art lessons, which provide therapeutic exercise while promoting creativity. Trainers for the program are professional fine artists and art therapy volunteers.
Another program under the Rainbow project is Beads of Life, which is integrated into the vocational training classes at the CPSK special needs school. Beadwork and shaggy mat making activities help improve eye-hand coordination for children with cerebral palsy, with caregivers playing a key role in assisting the children. Beadwork items produced by the children include Cerebral Palsy awareness bracelets, purses, brooches, card holders, and vases, among others.
The Hands of Clay project is a stimulating program that involves creating clay products such as pots, figurines, and other sculptures. Caregivers and guardians support the children in developing the necessary skills to create these items, which are essential for improving their motor skills and provide psycho-social support for parents, guardians, and caregivers.
